Welcome to HL7 Connection

The web could use an HL7 discussion forum. I know there are a few email lists but these resources are really meant for the most advanced professionals. I think an HL7 for beginners is a great place to start. That’s why I have started this website and discussion forum. Not only are the experts invited to join, but also beginners. This is not exactly the easiest area of Healthcare IT and we can use all the help we can get. My mission is to create a collaborative space for discussion, sample deliverables, advice, tips and technical discussions about healthcare IT and specifically HL7. The site is currently in beta testing before it goes fully public. If you are here, you were invited by me or by a colleague.
I would like to get your feedback on ways to make this a helpful place to learn and share information. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Eventually, we will also have a regular column from experts in the field. If you are interested in writing for hl7connection, please let contact me with a sample of your writing and brief summary of your experience with HL7. Thank you for taking a moment to visit the site. I hope together we can make this a great place to share our collective knowledge and also help those HL7 professionals that are just getting started.
